“Leadership in Digital Era – Implications and Perspectives” invited lecture by professor Marco Valeri, Ph.D. at UIST “St. Paul the Apostle”

Professor Marco Valeri, Ph.D. from Rome, Italy visited the University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” from 9 to 13 November 2022 and deliverd an invited lecture titled “Leadership in Digital Era – Implications and Perspectives”. Professor Valeri was welcomed by the Rector of the University and Vice Rector Professor Ustijana Rechkoska Shikoska, Ph. D. as well as representatives from Rector’s board and Senate of the University represented by president of the Senate Professor Atanas Hristov, Ph.D. Professor Valeri’s lecture was attended by UIST professors, administrations and students.  

Professor Marco Valeri, Ph.D. is a Senior Lecturer in Organizational Behavior at Niccolò Cusano University (Italy). He is Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management, School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events, Taylor’s University, Malaysia. His research areas include sustainability and green practices, strategy implementation, knowledge management, family business, crisis management, information technology, network analysis, digital management. He has over 100 publications on management, leadership development, cross-cultural management, international hospitality management.

He is member of several editorial boards of international tourism journals, reviewer and editor of several handbooks on entrepreneurship, tourism and hospitality management. He is Associate Editor of Tourism: An International Interdisciplinary Journal, Research Notes Editor of Journal of Tourism, Heritage & Services Marketing, Social Media Editor of Journal of Family Business Management and Series Book Editor on New Perspectives in Tourism and Hospitality Management (Emerald Publishing).

UIST has started a collaboration with Professor Valeri and his University from Italy, and signed the Erasmus + Agreement. Several potential projects are being discussed for further collaboration.
