13 Dec Guest lecture by Prof. Ariant Reka “My Fulbright Journey”
Dr. Arianit Reka is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Department of Chemistry, as well as a lecturer in Pharmacy at the Faculty of Medical Sciences (UT). At The University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” on 07.12.2022, he delivered a motivational lecture titled “My Fulbright Journey”.
Prof. Reka works at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics at the State University of Tetovo since 2016. He completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy at “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University.
From 2017 to 2021, he held the position of Vice Dean for Science. Professor Reka is one of about 950 scientists from around the world who has been awarded the Fulbright Scholarship for the academic year 2021-2022.
Professor Reka has extensive international experience starting in 1999 when he was employed as a translator and acquisitions analyst at the Joint Acquisition Center at Camp Bondsteel within the US Army, a quality inspector at the Acquisition Management Agency (U.S. Department of State), Quality Manager (KBR Inc.), Quality Consultant (Ecolog Ltd.), Chief of Staff (MLS), and professor at Yahya Kemal College.
Prof. Reka is an active member of the Materials Research Association, the Union of Chemists and Technologists in Macedonia, the Albanian Crystallography Association, NanoAlb, the Nanotechnology Unit at the Academy of Sciences – Albania, a reviewer in several international journals and a certified quality assurance professional from the Department of Defense (USA).
