The Intelligent Cross Border Accelerator for ICT-enabled start-ups (iCBA) project has been implemented by the University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” Ohrid (UIST Ohrid) in the last 3 years within the framework of the INTERREG cross-border cooperation program.
The final event was held in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The purpose of the project is to create a support mechanism for the creation of start-ups in the cross-border region of Greece – Republic of North Macedonia. It has been based on the evidence that the wider cross-border area has significant knowledge capital, but limited ability to attract investments due to difficulty in approaching and attracting investment capital. The iCBA accelerator used the experience of experts from both countries to provide the region’s human capital with business training and guidance, as well as investment opportunities to set up their own start-ups immediately after the project is completed.
