02 Jun Study visit of Professor Roy Balleste from Stetson University, Florida, USA at UIST
On 30 May 2023, Professor Roy Balleste from St Petersburg, Florida, visited the University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” in Ohrid. This visit comes from an already-established collaboration between Professor Ustijana Rechkoska – Shikoska, Ph.D. Vice-Rector and Professor Balleste. He is a Professor of Law and Law Library Director at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, USA, and an expert in cyber law, space law as well as astronautical ethics. He explained the importance of studies in the field of cybersecurity and showed interest in cooperation with UIST in organizing exchange of students and staff, workshops, projects, and other activities. He emphasized the university approach to cyber law issues as an essential step in building common strategies for cyber security.
