UIST “St. Paul the Apostle” Hosts the Final Event of the FinYes Project

On March 15, 2024, the final event of the “Financial Literacy for Young Entrepreneurs,” known as the FinYes project, took place at the University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle.” This event comprised both a competition and a conference, aimed at showcasing project outcomes and offering recommendations for further enhancing financial literacy in Macedonia. Professor Ustijana Rechkoska Shikoska, PhD, Vice Rector, emphasized the significance of the project’s theme and collaboration with CEFE Macedonia during her presentation.

The primary objective of the project was to equip individuals with fundamental financial skills and knowledge necessary for managing and establishing small businesses. As part of the project’s innovative approach, experiential tools and gamification methods, such as a board game, were tested and implemented as teaching aids. The FinYes initiative, facilitated through training provided by the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation, represents a strategic effort by CEFE Macedonia to empower educators and young individuals across North Macedonia with essential financial skills. CEFE Macedonia, as the official provider of Micro Business Games for the country, spearheads this initiative, which is co-financed by the US Embassy in Skopje.
