UIST was host of Junior Achievement Macedonia Conference “Partnership for Better Education in Europe and Eurasia”

Junior Achievement Macedonia (JAM) was founded in October 2017, as one of 123 Members of Junior Achievement Worldwide, which encourages and helps young people for their future jobs. Through training, preparation for financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship, JAM creates employment pathways and new jobs. On 28 & 29 March 2023, the University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” was host of their conference “Partnership for better education in Europe and Eurasia”. Professor Ustijana Rechkoska Shikoska, Ph.D. Vice-Rector took part in the first panel discussion, dedicated to “The Importance of Entrepreneurial Education for Success of Young People in the Global Economy”. She spoke about entrepreneurship education everywhere, when the educational processes are facing new reforms and changes. At the panel “Entrepreneurship education enhances the entrepreneurial creativity of teachers”, Professor Jovanka Damoska Sekuloska, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, spoke about the need for the entrepreneurial education of students and the role of the teachers in this process.
