The city of Ohrid is indisputably one of the most beautiful cities in our country and on the Balkan peninsula. The city of Ohrid has witnessed a lot of significant historical events throughout his more than25 century long record of existence. City of Ohrid was home to The First Pan-Slavic University in Europe, founded within the city in the 9th century by St.Clement of Ohrid, thus obtaining the prestigious name of “Slavic Jerusalem“.
At present Ohrid and its beautiful lake are among favorite summer holiday destinations, especially due to its mild climate characterized by moderate warm summers and mild winters.

Traveling to Ohrid
You can reach Ohrid by plane or vehicle. Ohrid Airport is particularly frequent during the summer. Please find information on flying connections and frequency on the following link:

You can also arrive in Ohrid through Skopje airport (185 km distance from Ohrid), Tirana airport (150 km distance from Ohrid).
